The UoSLSC Committee would like to take this opportunity over the next week to introduce themselves! Please feel free to get in contact with any of us if you have any queries or if you're interested in joining us in September.

First up to introduce herself, is our new Club Captain, Ellie Simms!

"Hi lifesavers! I’m Ellie and I’m this year’s Club Captain. I’m currently in my final year at Sheffield and I’m studying Biomedical Science.

I started lifesaving in my second year of university – before this I’d never heard of the sport, let alone competed. Since joining the club, I’ve learned new skills, met new friends, and taken part in many BULSCA competitions.

I really enjoy being part of such a friendly group and getting involved in the running of the club. Last year I was SERC Training Officer, which involved planning our dry training sessions and teaching first aid.

Now as Captain, I’m looking forward to the year ahead and working with the rest of the committee to further develop our club."

Find out more about the roles of each committee member in the 'The Committee' section of our website.
