Taking on the role of SERC Training Officer is Lucy Harris, who was a fresher in our club last year! Here is a little bit more about her...

"Hi, I’m Lucy, and I’m in my second year of studying Robotic Engineering.

I first tried out lifesaving 5 years ago with my swim club. Here I grew to love learning first aid and how to rescue people, knowing that this could help someone in need. After coming to Sheffield University, I decided to try out the lifesaving club, as this had the sport side that I hadn’t tried before. After joining, I appreciated the community feel in the club, as well as the competitive side of the sport.

As my committee role as SERC Training Officer, I would like to teach more people first aid, and get them involved with the club."

Find out more about the roles of each committee member in the 'The Committee' section of our website.
